The Pied Piper
The Pied Piper When you’re awake, you are in a dream Of what to become and who you can be. Insubstantial and fleeting, like a small mountain stream You can see the obvious, but you miss the great key. There’s a gateway to heaven within everyone’s mind. There are doors of perception, yet you choose to be blind. Are you afraid of the given, that nature provides, Or do you follow the footsteps of the brave and the wise? Come all you children, sing this new song with me, All raise your young voices in a new harmony Where the rhythm and light and all that you do Is one and the same of what’s essentially you. I see dead men walking, like ghosts on a string, I see the mundane, but the dull cannot sing The songs of freedom, when gods walk this earth, It’s time to awaken from this pitiful dirge. Can you wake up from dreaming your reality dreams And embrace the fantastic, can you follow that stream, Where the source of all rhythms is the source of all light, Where the impossible song becomes possibly right?
